Old man winter was easier on us fisherman this winter than he was the last, offering some mild days for willing anglers this year. Redfish and black drum catches have been consistent and trout have been making themselves available when the weather has cooperated.
April on the Texas Coast usually means that it is time to stow the cold water waders as the water temperature will soon reach that magical 70° mark. Bait fish, that have been hard for fisherman to find since late fall, have started making there way into the bay system with schools of hungry speckled trout and red drum following. The bite will begin getting more aggressive with each degree the water warms up. The days are long enough to head out for an evening trip, catch a nice load of fish, and still be in before the sun sets.
Take the opportunity to experience some of the best inland saltwater fishing the U.S. has to offer and plan a trip to fish the Texas Coastal Bend. Call us to book a trip or to reserve your kayak for a fishing experience unlike any you could experience fishing from a boat.
